Mid-Congress Excursion, September 16th
Guided tour of the National Museum in Warsaw, early lunch, and afternoon guided tour of the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów.
MID-CONGRESS EXCURSION PROGRAMME – 16 SEPTEMBER
9:45 – Meeting point in front of the National Museum in Warsaw (MNW).
We will meet in front of the MNW to check the list of participants. The address is Al. Jerozolimskie 3.
10:00 – Visit to the National Museum in Warsaw
Guided tour of the Gallery of Ancient Art with the gallery’s curators.
Following the curator-led tour of the Gallery of Ancient Art, participants will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s other galleries independently.
13:20 – Meeting at the buses
All participants should be at the buses by 13:20 at the latest. We will then depart for Wilanów.
15:00 / 15:15 / 15:30 – Entry to the Wilanów Palace
Participants will be divided into 3 groups of approximately 25 people. The groups will enter the palace at 15-minute intervals: at 15:00, 15:15 and 15:30. Each group will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
After the visit to the palace, the buses will take participants back to the National Museum in Warsaw.
IMPORTANT ORGANISATIONAL INFORMATION
- The excursion is only for participants who registered in the excursion sign-up form.
- Participants who did not register will not have a ticket reserved.
- Please make sure to have your conference badge with you at the National Museum in Warsaw (MNW).
- MNW security will only allow access to the other galleries to people wearing their conference badge.
- A conference badge is also required to board the buses.
- Lunch boxes will be provided during the excursion.
