Call for Papers
It is our pleasure to announce the Call for Papers for the 8th International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities, which will be held at the University of Warsaw, Poland, from September 14 to 18, 2026.
Following the tradition of previous International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities, the 8th edition in Warsaw will focus on the study of archaeology and history of the Black Sea area. This time the Congress will be dedicated to its Great Organizer and Friend of many of us Gocha R. Tsetskhladze. We wish to cover as large a geographical and chronological range as possible, therefore the specific subject of The Congress will be General Trends and Local Traditions in the Black Sea Area (7th c BC–5th/6th c AD).
Proposals for 15-minute oral presentations or posters should be submitted by 31 October. Detailled information is available in the First Circular. 2025. The 8th International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities Organising Committee reserves the right to suggest a change in the type of presentation based on the submitted proposal.
